The Health Ministries Department is to help men and women reach their full potential, mentally, spiritually and physically. Health Ministry is the gospel of Christ illustrated, the message of God practiced. This department coordinates the health education and health promotion drive in the local church. The department also sponsors temperance and health evangelism and other outreach programs.
Wholeness and health have been an emphasis of the Seventh-day Adventist church since the 1860s when the church began. The Bible reminds us that the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and we have been entrusted with the privilege of maintaining and improving our spiritual, mental, social and physical health. Health Ministries promotes good health and the prevention of ill health to help achieve this goal of wholeness.
- Our role is to educate church members and the surrounding communities on Health matters.
- We also provide Health Services to the members and communities around us through staged Health Expo.
- As disciples of Christ, we are following his steps where He healed the sick, blind, and Him went on to raise the dead; such that through these services, He drew many to Him, us; we are winning them for Him in our time.
- We use our talents to draw many ti His Kingdom so that when He shall come, He will remember us into His kingdom. Matthew 25 : 14 – 46, 3 John 2
